Project

The Intelligent Cities Challenge (ICC) is a European Commission initiative supporting European cities in their green and digital transition through Local Green Deals (LGDs). ICC helps cities harness innovative technologies, enhance economic competitiveness, and improve citizens' quality of life.

On March 5th and 6th, 2025, the Maison de la Poste in Brussels hosted the "From Challenge to Change through Local Green Deals: Intelligent Cities Challenge Conference & Mayors Business Forum." The event welcomed over 250 city leaders, business representatives, urban development experts, and policymakers to exchange knowledge and discuss strategies for sustainable urban transformation.

The conference focused on Local Green Deals as key drivers for cities to achieve climate neutrality and economic resilience. The Mayors-Business Forum fostered collaboration between city officials and industry leaders, tackling topics such as clean industrial transformation, regulatory frameworks, financing, and strategic partnerships.

The two-day event featured a mix of keynote speeches, plenary sessions, interactive discussions, and best-practice sharing, creating valuable opportunities for cities to accelerate their transition. Cities like Alcoy were recognized by the European Commission for their leadership in sustainable mobility and energy solutions.

Solutions

We delivered a seamless event experience with comprehensive event management, engaging stage design, and high-quality audiovisual production. The main stage hosted 300 participants, while an exhibition area with 19 booths provided cities with a platform to showcase their Local Green Deals achievements.

To foster dynamic knowledge exchange, we designed two parallel innovation labs, where cities presented their results in 10-minute pitches. Attendees could seamlessly switch between sessions using a wireless headset system, creating an immersive and flexible experience.

The event also featured a VIP mentor cities breakfast, a dedicated Mayors Business Forum with interactive roundtable discussions, and a networking cocktail to facilitate meaningful connections. In addition, we arranged accommodation for nearly all participants, ensuring a smooth and stress-free event experience.

Our tailored event solutions, including logistics coordination, real-time audience engagement tools, and interactive session formats, ensured a dynamic and impactful gathering, reinforcing the ICC’s mission to drive sustainable urban transformation.
